I know it's been a bit quiet here recently. I've been busy writing, and that tends to be a rather single-minded activity.
The good news is that I've now finished the first draft of Inspector McLean Book Three - The Hangman's Song. There are also developments in the publishing schedule for the print editions of the first two books, so keep an eye out for more news soon.

Yes, that fine Scottish organ, The Daily Record have published a fine article all about me (and my books). It's really rather good, and I just love the first photo.
You can find the article here: Scots farmer became internet sensation when he published murder mystery

In a hard-fought, five way auction, Penguin have acquired the UK and Commonwealth rights to the first three Inspector McLean books. German translation rights have been sold to Goldman Verlag, and I'm (well, my agent is) in negotiations with Italian and Brazilian publishers too. There's much interest in the US as well.
As of yet, the Benfro books have not been offered anywhere, and will remain for sale as eBooks published by DevilDog. Once contracts have been signed and the details worked out, Natural Causes and The Book of Souls will no longer be available in territories where I have sold the rights to another publisher. Hopefully the gap between them disappearing here and reappearing elsewhere will be minimal.

New versions of all five DevilDog ebooks have been uploaded to Amazon. These include corrections of typos and improvements to the formatting to further enhance the reading experience.
